The Isha center's own home grown musical group whose creative expression is inspired by a deep spiritual yearning and a sense of gratitude. Dabbling with and melting into their instruments, Sounds of Isha's melodies are a fusion of tones and rhythms that are at once fresh and ancient, echoing the wise traditions of the world. While the music of SOI soothes our minds and the melodies enthrall us, the true potential of their creation is to instill in us an element of the eternal silence that touches the core of the human being. The performances of Sounds of Isha deliver a potent and intoxicating ethereal concoction, transporting those who listen into subtler states of being – becoming the basis for inner exploration.
From their first performance in 2002, today Sounds of Isha has many albums and a huge ‘fan following’ in many parts of the world. The group members are full-time volunteers with Isha Foundation, living a life of dedication and devotion to their inner growth.
